Outplacement
Sometimes an employee’s ambitions and the direction of the organization drift too far apart. Or a reorganization becomes unavoidable. That is never an easy message. Especially then, good leadership makes all the difference: by guiding the process carefully and paying attention to the well-being of your people. For employees, this is often a tense and emotional time. It is therefore important that they feel they are not facing it alone.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME AS AN EMPLOYER?
- You fulfill your legal duty of care as an employer.
- It supports a respectful and careful departure process, helping to minimize conflicts or legal escalations.
- Outplacement costs can be deducted from the transition allowance and are also tax-deductible.
- You entrust the guidance of your people to a Noloc-certified Registered Career Professional.
- You and your colleagues free up valuable time and space for other priorities.
WHAT CAN EMPLOYEES EXPECT?
When you engage me for outplacement, you choose a careful and personalized process. It offers attention to both saying goodbye and looking ahead. I support employees in:
- Saying a proper farewell to their previous workplace and creating space for what lies ahead.
- Reorientation: discovering their strengths, drivers, and aspirations. This can be supported by a DISC or Motivation Analysis if desired.
- Mapping opportunities: gaining insight into possibilities and making conscious choices for the next step.
- Practical support in entering the job market, for example:
- Creating a professional CV and LinkedIn profile (based on their personal profile)
- Guidance in writing a convincing application letter
- Vacancy analysis and interview preparation
- Smart use of AI in the application process
- Activating personal and professional networks
MY APPROACH
The process always begins with an introductory meeting with you, as the organization’s representative, to clarify the context and wishes. I then schedule a short 30-minute online conversation with each employee eligible for outplacement.
From that point on, the employee takes center stage.
Every individual has their own background, position, mindset, and preferences. Together, we decide where the focus should be and how the available budget can be used most effectively. This way, each employee receives a tailored guidance program.
